Here is an easy one...
 
School board meeting should be public.  The thought that they need to have private discussions first to plan their actions is completely contradictory to an independant board.  The school board was made to represent the best interests of the community, and how can they do that without community input and dsicussions at such public meeting...

I appreciate all the great questions, and am happy to see that there are concerned residents of teh ABC School Distrist.  Being concerned and getting involved is a good start, but we need more parents taking charge of our community wide concerns.
 
 In response to the Aug 27 question from "No Name", State Mandates are exactly that...mandates.  If such expansion of our schools was required it would be my opinion to regulate any expansions in our schools.  Quality not quantity is always a concern, and working within State Requirements is difficult but not impossible.

If the ABC district received a state mandate, effective February 1, 2008; stating mandatory expansion of the Whitney high school magnet program, to be inclusive of three times the amount of existing students, how would you respond?

Would you expand the present campus, and if so, how would you make amendments to increase the size of the campus?

Second state mandate, effective September 1, 2008, State mandating the addition of a performing arts center for the school district, what steps would you take, with working with the city of Cerritos and neighboring cities to fund and locate said center.
